On Saturday, August 20, 2022, the 15th Annual Emma Marie Keller Memorial Walk benefiting The Emma Marie Keller Memorial Foundation will be held at the Cook Township Community Center in Stahlstown, PA. On behalf of The Emma Marie Keller Memorial Foundation, we would like you to consider making a donation to this year’s walk. We hope the walk this year will be successful and touch many lives because of donations from community businesses such as yours. We understand many businesses are still trying to bounce back from the shutdowns due to Covid-19 pandemic. Any donations big and small can make a big difference.
In August 2007, our daughter Emma was born 11 weeks premature due to preeclampsia, weighing 1 pound 6 ounces. On January 28, 2008, Emma passed away. During her short 5 months, she had many challenges due to her prematurity. The disease Preeclampsia and Emma’s extended hospital stay has forever changed our lives. We feel that we have been called to give back and help others who are dealing with having a child with a long-term illness. Since last year’s walk, your generous donations have helped The Emma Marie Keller Memorial Foundation touch many lives. The foundation continued to provide toiletry kits and hand/footprint cards for NICU parents at the four area Pittsburgh hospitals with Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Those hospitals include Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Magee Women’s Hospital, West Penn Hospital, and the Children’s Home. Also, The Emma Marie Keller Memorial Foundation has helped multiple families with expenses associated with having children with an extended stay in the NICU, helped families with traveling expenses for their child’s cancer treatments and other ailments, have purchased meal vouchers for families in Children’s Hospital’s NICU, and much more.
This year’s walk will have a balloon release, Chinese and Silent Auction, a bounce house for children attending this year’s walk along with several games for the kids and those that are kids at heart, and much more. We appreciate the continued support from our community.
You will find the various sponsorship levels listed on the following page. We are also seeking in-kind donations. If making an in-kind donation your company will be recognized at the walk with a 5x7 sign set up by donated item i.e. Bottled Water provided by ABC Convenience Store. Any donations valued at $100 or more will get company recognition during opening remarks. Following is a list of items that we are in need of for our walk to be a success:
-Items for Chinese Auction
-Snacks/refreshments for walkers before and after the walk
-Small prizes for carnival games
To be a business partner simply fill out the enclosed Sponsorship Commitment Form and send a check to the address listed below or visit our website at www.emkmf.org. In order to have company information printed on walk media and T-Shirts we must receive your Sponsorship Commitment Form no later than Friday, July 29, 2022.
If donating in-kind item(s), please contact us by Friday, August 12, 2022 so that we can arrange pick-up or delivery of your item(s).
